New Adventures in Sydney

Australia Sydney
Posted: February 1, 2013

Tomorrow I board a plane to Sydney to start the next chapter in my life.  I am going to be working in Sydney Australia.  I know just a handful of people, I don’t know where I am going to live or when I will get a place, but I am excited.

I left my full time job in November 2011 and since then traveled to South Africa, Singapore, Australia, England, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Paris, the United States and then back to Australia.  Earlier in 2011 I went to Brazil and Argentina.  So 2011 to 2012 has certainly been an eventful year. I have tried to blog about each place I have been to since 2011 and I will continue to write about new places I visit, offering tips on attractions to see and places to stay.

Sydney

This past year has proven to me and others, that if you really want to make a change and do something different with your life, you can.  If you are scared of leaving what you know and are familiar with, don’t be.  The most important thing to do is face your fears head on.  If you have a dream that you have always wanted to achieve, make sure you have enough money in the bank, you have some work experience, then stop surviving in your unhappy job and start living!

I will be updating the blog with news from my time working and living in Sydney.  I am hoping to get a place in central Sydney, just a room in a house or “unit” as they call it here Down Under.  If you know of anyone who is looking for a nice gal to share their house with, please get in touch – Twitter @being30com. I know rent in Sydney is very expensive, it is often more than in London with rentals at $300 – $400 a week.
