You Don’t Need a Reason To Visit Brighton

Brighton England Europe

I went to Brighton with my mom for her birthday earlier this month.  Brighton is just 51 mins from London Victoria if you take the fast train.  We went from Tattenham corner and changed at East Croydon.

We only had a day here but I have been before. Here are the places I recommend visiting next time you head to Brighton.

Brighton Pier

This is one of the most popular destinations in Brigton and is fun for all the family. I went here when I was younger and played in the arcade which is great when you are spending someone else’s money, different when you are losing all of your own.

SEA Life Brighton

The aquarium has just opened after under going refurbishment for 6 months.  Last month it celebrated its 140th birthday which coincided with the year of the Jubilee. If travelling by train to Brighton (which I recommend you do as it is very expensive to park and there is a lot of traffic in the city centre), you can get 2 4 1 off the entrance price.

The Lanes

Brighton is famous not only for its pier but also The Lanes which are full of cafes, restaurants, shops and little boutiques.  It once had just antique, jewellers and tea shops but in recent years the more “trendy” boutiques have opened up in the area.

Fish and Chips

You have to sample the fish and chips in Brighton.  I am not a fish fan and I have tried it, next time I go, I am going to visit Palm Court again.  The last time I went was when I was around 14.  Palm court on Brighton Pier is where you have fish and chips on the sea.  There are a few free deck chairs scattered around the Pier, so have some food and chill out.

It is always fun to go to the seaside, even if there is no fine sand and it is not 25 degrees.  Brighton also has a great night life, something you will not experience if you go just for the day.
