I have stayed in a lot of hotels, not many in London, but I would have to say the Grange Langham Court Hotel scores very highly on my list of best hotels.
Located in Langham Street, a few blocks north of Oxford Circus, this has to be one of the most central hotels in London. It is perfect for a night out or if you work in the media industry and do not want a long commute in the morning. It is a 4 star hotel and breakfast is included in the room rate.
The Langham Court Hotel room was £129.00 on the Friday night and then £85 on the Saturday night. The hotel seems to cater for those who come during the week, like many hotels in the area. The room was compact but it was very modern, comfortable duvets, two big pillows, plenty of space in the wardrobe and great shower (with nice range of toiletries).
Continental breaksfast was included in the room rate. It was much better than I anticipated. There was cheese, meats, yoghurts, eggs as well as danish pastries, croissants and toast with condiments. There were 4 different juices plus tea and coffee.
The only thing bad about the hotel I have to mention is the fact that we came down at 10:08 on the Saturday and breakfast had already finished and the staff were not at all happy we were late. The disapproving looks were worse than you might get from your parents.
There are 17 Grange Hotels in London all within a few minutes walk from the tube. The hotel we stayed in was 31 – 35 Langham Street, London W1W 6BU.
