I planned a hen party for my sister at Flemings Hotel, Mayfair, located on Half Moon Street, near Green Park. Flemings is a 4 star luxury hotel and we were made to feel very special from when we arrived, from being greeted at the door to when we left at the end of the afternoon.

Private room

We had a private room all to ourselves which was included in the price of the tea.  It was all laid out beautifully before we had arrived.  It had a 70inch screen at one end with laptop accessibility.  I had brought my own docking station and we were able to play our own music as well as decorate the room in the theme of the hen party – London 2012. The great part about having our own room was that we had a private area from 1pm until 5pm.

Tea and Cakes

At Flemings Hotel, there was choice of three different teas:, Regular Afternoon Tea, Champagne Tea and Chocoholics Tea.  The regular and Champagne Tea came with a selection of freshly made sandwiches which included:

Smoked salmon & cream cheese
Egg mayonnaise
Cucumber
Ham & English mustard,
Chicken mayonnaise

There was of course delicious scones with clotted cream and jam, victoria sponge and the chef’s selection of petit fours and cupcakes.  It was the cheapest Afternoon Tea I had found in London.  It was £23.50 per person plus 12.5% Vat and  £32.50 per person with a glass of Perrier-Jouët Champagne.

Chocoholics Afternoon Tea

For those who love chocolate, there was also the chocoholics Afternoon Tea, it was slightly more expensive at £26.50 per person. The same sandwiches were available but there were a different selection of cakes which included chocolate chip scones with chocolate spread, rich chocolate layer cake, chef’s selection of petit fours and a chocolate cupcake. There was so much to eat that we ended up taking the cakes back with us.  On the way to our hotel, I gave the freshly made cakes to the Big Issuer seller on Curzon street.

Selection

Flemings had the largest selection of tea I had ever seen.  There were 25 different types of tea.  There was a wide range of black tea, classic melanges, green tea and oolong, smoke team jasmine tea, herbal infusioned and decaffeinated. It really is the perfect place for the tea lover.

I had a great time at Flemings and so did the other 19 girls who came to tea.  I would certainly recommend having Afternoon Tea here and if you are thinking about a hen weekend, this place is perfect.
